Newborn Session FAQ:

When should I book my session?

A.ASAP- the majority of KMP clients reserve their newborn session in the early stages of their second trimester. You book tentatively by your due date, and once baby arrives we confirm your appointment falls within the first 14 days of baby's life.

What if I deliver early or late?

A.Preterm births are always a special circumstance. Should you deliver preterm, we will discuss how to best serve your situation. In the past I have done modified NICU sessions, or waited until baby discharges home to do their newborn photos at their adjusted age. With no more than 6 newborns booked per month, KMP ensures flexibility for life's curveballs. Your memories and your baby's safety are always my top concern.

What do I need to bring to my session at your studio?

A.My studio is filled with props, wraps, headbands and hats! All you need to bring is baby, diapers and milk. I'll handle the rest.

How long do posed newborn sessions take?

A.Typically, most posed newborn sessions take about 2-3 hours start to finish. We go at babies pace, so if we need breaks for feeds or snuggles- that's what we do!

Do you offer a more relaxed (non-posed) newborn package?

A.I do!
I refer to this as a lifestyle newborn session. In this type of session, we will focus on family connection, and baby will be swaddled and held by parents. These sessions take about an hour.
